Charcoal You Tiao with Ice Cream is the ultimate dessert for these hot Singaporean afternoons!

2 charcoal you tiao (fresh or frozen)
2–3 scoops of ice cream (vanilla, matcha, black sesame, or durian work great!)
Optional toppings: chocolate sauce, condensed milk, chopped peanuts, sesame seeds
Prepare the You Tiao
If using frozen, reheat in an air fryer or oven at 180°C for 5–8 minutes until hot and crispy.
Split the You Tiao
Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the you tiao lengthwise (like a hot dog bun), but not all the way through.
Add Ice Cream
While the you tiao is still warm, quickly place a scoop (or two!) of ice cream inside. The contrast of hot and cold is the magic.
Top It Off
Drizzle with condensed milk or chocolate sauce. Add toppings like peanuts or sesame seeds for crunch.
Serve Immediately
