Father's Day is coming! Hence, we've had a famous Korean-daughter duo whip up a special dish that incorporates Korean taste into You Tiaos. Read to find out more, or watch the video for some emotional interview and answers!Author:
1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fish sauce
Korean red pepper flakes (according to preference)
200 grams white radish
1 medium sized Cabbage
1/4 cup salt
SG's favourite You Tiao from You Tiao Man!
Wash the cabbage under running water.
Cut off the stem.
Separate the leaves.
Place them in a bowl, such that every piece can be submerged into the water.
Fill the bowl with just enough water to submerge the cabbage leaves.
Sprinkle salt into the water.
Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Mix the garlic, ginger, sugar and fish sauce in a bowl.
Add Korean red pepper flakes to own preference. The more you add, the spicier it is.
Chop the radish into strips.
Chop the scallions into pieces.
Mix the radish and scallions into the sauce.
Let it rest in the fridge.
Place it in the air fryer, 200°C for 5 minutes.
Wash the salted cabbage leaves under running water.
Shake the water out of the cabbage leaves.
Leave them on the strainer if needed.
Place the cabbage leaf onto a cutting board.
Spread the kimchi sauce onto the cabbage, enough to coat the surface.
Place the You Tiao onto the cabbage.
Cut them into bite sized pieces.
Serve while the You Tiao is still crispy.
This is not the recipe of kimchi that is sold by Chelabela. It is a modified version for households to follow.
